The poet is one who sees
what others have yet to believe.
An instrument of truth
to fill all the wells of youth.
The poet can truly reveal
what to others is yet concealed
His awareness of what is real
helps sealed eyes unveil.
The poet is one who takes time
to open up the mind
and let the word be spoken
through him from the Divine.
The poet is simply a vessel
A messenger of sorts
who's learned how to surrender
to mysteries sweet retorts.
Fourteen years ago I had what some call a spiritual awakening. Right before this wonderful awakening, I was going through a rough time in my life. I cried out to God and for some reason He answered this time. I stayed in that enlightened consciousness for about three months. I wanted to share my experience with others but trying to explain it to others is almost impossible. I found that writing poetry about it came very easily. These I share with the world now.
